The IDSS group, headed by Professor Roman Słowiński, is a team of top-level researchers and consultants specialized in decision support based on methodologies of operational research and artificial intelligence.

Its staff includes internationally recognized experts with strong publication records and cooperating Ph.D. students, who graduate from the Faculty of Computer Science and Management -- an educational unit highly scored in independent rankings. The team competences encompass research abilities as well as pragmatic problem solving, design, implementation and tutorial skills.

IDSS is a member of European Knowledge Discovery Network of Excellence.
